TWISTED TWINS

Woodbury University  |  Studio 1B  |  Jason King

This bike station project aims to revitalize the neighborhood of Frogtown
located in Elysian Valley. The bike trail that runs ajacent to the Los Angeles
River provides the foot and bike traffi c for the building. There are three
programs that make up the building: locker rooms, bike storage/rental,
coffee/juice bar. Each form was the result of twisting two solid bars 90
degrees. A structural grid was introduced and a facade was applied.
